I recently purchased a large lot of knives and other historical and collectible stuff. In this lot was several hundred knives and I have decided to sell all the knives here on my store one by one. I have no backstory on any of these all I can tell you is, buy based on the photos because I do not allow returns on any items such as this stamped knife. Im not claiming these to be authentic time period items as Im not a authenticator; Im just selling them here to hope they find a new forever home and can be appreciated for what they are which is a nice piece of history if you ask me!! Antique refers to the finish on the blade.
This knife has very good weight to it and is stamped on one side \"Georgia Armory\" & on the other side \"Milledgeville 1866\". Blade is 5 1/4\" x 1\". Over all the knife looks to be in good shape, it does have a spot on the blade where it will appears it may have had blade to blade contact, see pboto 7. As always my items are as is and no returns. I take pride in providing quality photos with a quality description. I take all of my photos with no flash and only using a professional overhead light, if you notice a color change it is because I chose to use flash it depends on the item and the photo.
