Rare Antique Huge Steel Wheels,,,,,,, car NOT part of saleHello; for your consideration is this HUGE set of antique spoked wheels with axle, (not the red car) the wheels are 44\" in diameter 10\" wide
and a 1/2\" thick with a 9\' OD. I can only guess on the weight and you might know better but here goes 500-800 pounds.
Both grease cups are present and working,, I pushed a few cup fulls through each one. The severe rusting that you will see in the last two pix
is a spacer pipe that was slid over the axle too keep the bridging brackets in place,, I would think it could be cut off and replaced if needed.
There is of course severe pitting to the axle in that area but I doubt the axle has lost much of it structural integrity. With the rust damage the
way it is I would assume there would have been a wood block between the bridge rods and the axle/spacer and it was the rotting of the
