For sale is an antique two drawer walnut spool cabinet built in the Eastlake style. The two knobs on the bottom drawer are cracked. Some of these cabinets had white porcelain pulls which would be an easy fix. Also, there are two old tight cracks to the top front. These do not affect the integrity of the piece. a previous owner either painted or applied a heavy stain to the entire cabinet. This can be removed quite easily with paint stripper and a little elbow grease. Refinishing should proceed with caution in the drawer area and the back of the cabinet where the stenciling would have been. Sometime the stenciling is still there and can be preserved with care to remove the paint near the stencils. I have refinished four of these cabinets in the past 20 years. Twice, I got lucky and twice the stenciling was gone. If itis missing, there are replacement stencils that can be reapplied. The cabinet measures 24\" wide, 15 3/8\" deep and 7\" tall.
