This is a beautiful very heavily beaded Victorian mourning mantle with high shoulders and stand up neck. It is quite small, the measurements follow. The jet beading is truly gorgeous and very nicely intact. There are different size beads that form leaves and paisley like swirls. I love the striped design on the outside of the arm. The most wear is on the inside of the collar were you can see the under burlap. No matter, it does not show, and will not affect for display purposes, or if it will be worn. It measures 13\" across the shoulders, 9\" across the breast and 19\" shoulder to hem. Like a size zero.
