ANTIQUE ORIGINAL brass cylinder SWISS MUSIC BOX, 8 SONGS...PLAYS GREAT !Circa mid-late 19th Century, this is a unique musical instrument that measures 15\" Length x 5\" tall x 8\" width with hinged lid closed. Appears to be mahogany wood construction, top has a split, repair?, there are scratches to the case and lacquer missing on the top, it seems that everything appears as original!Winds up fine, plays music (unfortunately I do not know the songs), sounds so delicate and magical! levers work, no missing teeth on comb, no major flaws

The brass handle has the original knob and works well as do the other two buttons on the right side, the handles for the change and stop are touchy but work, It shows at the back which song it is on and there is a lever in the back with an arrow that moves from 1-8.The piece weighs 8 poundsThis is an absolutely wonderful antique piece. The sound is beautiful.I do not know alot about this piece and was in my father\'s collection for many years, So I have described it as best as possible, please ask any questionsSince this piece is so fragile I will only ship it priority mail and will be insured with signature conformation (which is reflected in the shipping cost).
