ANTIQUE VTG 1892 BLICKENSDERFER # 7 TYPEWRITER WITH ORIGINAL CASE
This offering is for an original early Blickensderfer # 7 Typewriter. The machine is notable for its beautiful construction making it one of the first, if not the first, true lightweight portable machines. The machine is also in what appears to me to be excellent condition and it\'s complete with the original wooden carrying case. All of the keys seem to work fine and the space bar and platen operate properly as well. Overall the machine is in excellent condition and is without doubt one of the nicest you will run in to. The machine could of course use a proper dusting, cleaning and lubrication if you actually intend to use it. The serial number on the machine is 66644, the latest patent date on the patent plate is from April 12th of 1892. The metal makers plate on the front reads \"BLICKENSDERFER STAMFORD CONN. U. S. A. 7\". The wooden case displays great and has only minor surface wear with a few small surface cracks. The leather carrying handle on the case is in place but is a bit worn so do not rely on it for carrying. The machine displays beautifully and should make an excellent addition to someone\'s collection, shouldn\'t it be yours!!!
