Great Western Electric Inter-Phone Combo, Two Stations, 4-Push Button Model 327J (Case),Other 327 H (Case) 325 W (Mouth),Oak Cabinets Tongue & GroveApprox: 7\" H x 5.75\" W x 5\" D (cabinet)Patent Dates 4-30-1907, 5-20-1913
This is a nice little combo, perfect display pieces. While they are not 100% original, the inside mechanicals in these look good & cabinets look pretty nice as well. The 4-Button 327J Model station has painted bells and someone replaced mouthpiece surround at some time. The headset is a S H Couch Co Norfolk Mass (model 4660 or 1660) and is not connected to interior leads. The phone box weighs roughly 2 lbs 11 oz.
The box without push buttons 327H Model is mostly complete, but one lead wire is broke on headset and the headset is not connected to inside leads. The headset is marked Edwards New York 1872. Otherwise the mouth piece, surround (marked Western Electric 325W) and mechanicals look good. It weighs roughly 2 lbs, 14 oz.
We only gently cleaned exterior of cabs after obtaining and did not otherwise alter in any way. I think some minor tweaking and these could be exceptional works. The wood cabinets are very solid.
