For your consideration an antique Western Electric telephone. Fresh from a local estate. The phone has a solid oak dovetailed case. The finish looks to be original and in very good condition. The top of the front is marked WESTERN ELECTRIC COMPANY The receiver and mouthpiece are both good with no cracks. The receiver is marked WESTERN ELECTRIC COMPANY on the top and 122W on the side. It has external connectors. The transmitter head is marked WESTERN ELECTRIC COMPANY 250W The front section is hinged and made to open. The inside looks to be complete and in good condition. The key and lock have been removed. It is wired to the side of the receiver holder. There is a patent date of 1897 on one of the parts. The side has a crank that still turns. There are 20 ringer bells in all. The phone measures 30" in height by about 18" in width overall. It is pretty heavy and weighs about 60 pounds. I have never seen a telephone like this before and it is pretty neat and unusual. I will try to remove the transmitter arm and receiver and box them seperately with the telephone for safe delivery.
