Antique Women\'s Secretary Desk. This is in original condition, belonged to my great-aunt. I am not sure of the age, but believe it to be from the early 1900\'s. The height of the desk is 50\" from bottom to top of desk, 25 1/2\" from side to side & 15 3/4\" from front to back. It is solid wood with burled front arches on the top front of the door( see pictures). The doors open with small pulls & the desk insideautomatically comes down when you open the doors. The drop down desk is on a chair on each side & measures 21 1/2\" from front to back when down. Inside has lots of open storage slots & a small pull out drawer.There are 8 cubbies on the bottom measuring 6\" deep & 3\"wide. Then there are 4 cubbies & the drawer above those 8 cubbies. The small pull out drawer is 6\" deep & 8\" wide. Above the drawer is a longer thinner cubby measuring 8 1/2\" wide. Carved wooden legs and carving around top & bottom of the desk. I have enclosed LOTs of pictures so that you can see exactly what you will be purchasing. The back dustcover was torn & removed as you will see from the back view pictures. The top show some wear (looks like someone set a glass on the top & shows a circle if you look closely...may be able to be rubbed out) All original condition, only 2 owners (my great aunt & myself). I am remodeling & would like this piece to go to someone who will love it as much as I did over the years.I have listed other furniture from this era including a coffee table, curio cabinet, drum table, sofa table, etc. Check those out.
