This is an incredible antique Combo Bamboo Fly Rod as well as a Standard Fishing Pole in original wood box. Most resembles an Aria made rod & box, but there were several companies in Japan making these from what my research shows and many are nearly identical. In any case this one is very nice.

Contains 5 pieces,a Cork & Metal handle with removable rubber end, 1 Middle Fly Rod Extension & 2 Fly Rod Ends, 1 Sturdy Single Extension piecefor a regular fishing pole use. The fly rod is approx. 8 feet (see photo). The regular use extension makes for a approx. 5 feet 2 inch fishing rod. The box is approx 34-35 inches in length.

Kind of a neat set up& in amazing shape. It is not like new, but not too far off. Original box has some wear and the slide out panel (which would hold tackle in top is not with the piece) and there is a crack in top that has been glued. The rod pieces however, show very little wear of any kind.
