Originally designed as the decorative and identifying plaque for a series of safesproduced by Stephen Cox & Son, Ltd.Stephen Cox and Sons Ltd were a UK safe manufacturing company based at the Dudley Road Safe Works, Sedgley and who first started to manufacture safes in the 1890\'s. Cox safes are still a very common safe today.

AUTHENTIC - NOT A REPRO FROM INDIA or CHINA!
Found at the Portobello Antiques Market in London by my parents while they were living in England in the 1980s & 90s. My dad has a collection of about 25 of the plaques and is letting about half of them go - please see others that will be listed this week
