Model/ Type / Description: Up for sale is an authentic WWI MG08 or MG15 ammunition can. This item is unmarked, and is finished in a medium green, with a black undercoat and red primer visible. The item has its original leather handle covers, and is fully functional. The overall dimensions of this can are: 14.5\" long, 3-1/4\" wide and 6-3/4\" tall.
Condition: This ammunition can is in used, but overall \"Good\" condition. The paint has worn away in various areas, revealing a black undercoat, and red primer. The exposed areas of bare metal have pitting and light surface erosion. There are no major instances of erosion, and all fasteners work as intended. This style of box was used heavily during World War One, and is in wonderful shape for its service record.
