anvil was made by Kohlswa Jernverks Aktiebolag prior to World War II
according to Richard Postman's book "Anvils in America". The
advertisements for this anvil state that these anvils were "One piece
cast steel anvils". The ad goes on to say, "The anvil is cast in one
piece of specially developed steel which is flame hardened on the face
to 55 - 57 HRC. (Rockwell Hardness C rating). The company also states
that; All - steel anvils have great elasticity and make the hammer
rebound very effectively. A good rebound makes the work easy."
