BRITISH M1888 MARTINI & LONG LEE ENFIELD BAYONET-1895 DATED-NICE MARKINGS:
Fine condition British Martini Enfield knife bayonet that is also correct for the Long Lee Enfield and has a good looking bright blade that has many British proof marks and dates including 1895 thru 1907. Full length bright blade is 12” long and never sharpened with no dings or nicks. 2 piece wood grips have a tight fit, held with 2 brass rivets and original finish with serial number on the pommel. Fitted in its correct steel tipped leather scabbard that is soft and supple with tight stitching and a little scuffing to the leather finish. Nice looking early British Martini Enfield bayonet with great markings, used at the height of the British Empire.
