Up for offer is this beautiful enamel on copper sculpture of a yellow bird on a branch of dogwood flowers and mounted on a wood base.
This sculpture was done by Norman Brumm, a copper enamel artist who worked in Charlevoix, Michigan, and passed away in 2008.This sculpture was hand made of glass enamel on copper. Multiple high temperature firings make the glass enamel glow like jewels.
You will marvel at the detail of every bird, leaf and flower. This piece has resided in my home since I purchased it in the mid 70's.It is quite large. The width is 10 1/2". The height is 7 1/2" and depth is 7". The wood base is 7" long.It is in perfect condition. There is no enamel loss, no chips or dings. The base is impressed with the name BRUMM and the underside of the bird is signed also.Questions are welcome. Thank you for looking.
