Wonderful 10\"tall woodendoll in the form of what looks like an early bare-knuckle boxer or prizefighter. He does not have boxing gloves on but his hands are in the form of fists and he looks very much like an early boxer. We are unsure of what kind of wood the doll is made of but believe it is a softwood due to the light weight and grain ofthe wood. It has a beautiful old patina and is jointed at the hips and elbows.The carving has a folk art look toit.It appears that he ismissing the brim of hishat and he has a few knicks and marks on him, but overall is in great condition.
