This is a 4 string Mountain Dulcimer by David Honea, builtin the Semi-Hourglass Design.
This instrument was handcrafted in my shop inNorth Georgia.
I have built over seven hundred Dulcimers over the last many years.
Each of my instruments havea hand rubbedcoat ofspecial oil and is buffed to a silky satinfinish. They are signed,dated and numberedon the inside and can be viewed through the sound hole. They also feature sealed gear tuners.
The sides are Black Walnut.
The head is Black Walnut.
The tail is Pecan.
The fret board is Pecan and White Oak with Walnut position dots.
The soundboard is book-matched Mahogany.
The back is book-matched Black Walnut.
This instrument is made of allsolid wood----no plywood or laminated wood. The sides have been steam bent.

The vibratingstring length (VSL)is 27-1/2\" from nut to bridge.
Overall length is 33-1/2\".
It also has 6-1/2 and 13-1/2 fret.
It is tuned to D A A A
