This is a really gorgeous lamp crafted by my friend\'s mother in the \'50\'s.

The focus is a large ostrich egg that measures approximately 6\" long. The front is decorated with flat decoupage pink flowers and leaves as well as high relief flowers and leaves. The reverse side  has matching flat decoupage flowers and leaves.

The egg has a cut out on the bottom and fits over the small bulb of the gold metal lamp base that has standing leaf fronds along the top edge.The bottom of the base is embossed with:
