a pattern drawn on cotton monks cloth and enough rug binding to finish off the underside of the rugWhen completed it measures 6 1/2 X 11 inches and would make a great wall hanging, trivet, candle or teapot mat, or table centerpiece. Lots of people hang these little mats from country furniture or make small pillows out of them. The lighthouse is hooked with winter white and the sky in the background with periwinkle blue. The ground is done with green plaids and dyed pumpkin hooked at random and the ocean with over dyed dark blue plaid with a touch of grey/blue plaid for the motion of the waves. The only other thing you will need is a frame to put your pattern in for hooking. I started off with a quilting hoop and did several rugs on that before switching to a floor frame.
