Vintage Benary 5 string open back\"The Celebrated Benary\" Engraved heelplate
I am not a dealer, I am a player and this is from my personal collection.I bought this Benary as a \"Barn find\" some time ago when I was interested in restoring old banjos. I polished the old nickel silver pot and plates. Reinforced the neck to the pot and dowel stick. Oiled the fingerboard. Replaced the tailpiece, bridge, head and strings. It has a high action for playing the nygut strings for real oldstyle thumping.This banjo has a 25 1/2 inch scale length \"length from the nut to the bridge\", Walnut neck and ebonized fingerboard and a 11\" pot for a deep bass sound. Overall length is 34\"Hard to find anymore in this condition, if you can find one.
