This blender has a cast iron light jade porcelain enameled base.It was manufactured by the Benedict Mfg. Co. - East Syracuse, N. Y. The company ceased operations in 1945 so this was manufactured before that date. It featuresa 70 watt AC/DC motor; cup in place safety interlock switch;tapered shaft aerator for the greatest old timey malts and shakes;fourrubber anti-skid feet; and sanitary stainless steel shaft. The manufacturer\'s brass badge is mint. The heavy duty cord appears original and is in good shape. Measures 16 1/2\" tall. Don\'t mess with those wimpy machines that can\'t froth your malt or shake. The secret to a great shake is a little milk, a little ice cream and lots of aeration. The standard 7\" tall stainless steel cup has a liquid and ice cream fill line. It is marked \"Bloomfield Industries - Chicago, USA - Stainless Steel\". If you want the malt house taste -you need the malt house equipment. Disclosures: there are 4 minor nickson the porcelain base; the nickel plated brass cover at the base of the twin bars has some plating loss and peel; some miniscule road rash on the chrome plated motor housing; and, normal scuff and usage marks. The porcelain and chrome finishes still display excellent gloss. This has been a well cared for mixer.
