Okay, just when you thought you\'d seen everything on , here\'s something different. I have the body - no valves - for a Los Angeles Benge shepherd\'s crook cornet in gold plate. I have had it for few years now and have been searching for a set of valves I could put into it but I have had little luck. I even contacted Ziggy Kanstul and he couldn\'t really help either. Perhaps someone out there has a silver plate model of this and would like to switch their valves over to the gold plated body, after lapping, of course. Maybe someone has a crushed bell they cannot see trying to repair. Well, here\'s the solution. This Benge body has 100% of the gold plate remaining and it is in very good condition. there are three, count \'em, three water keys. There are 4 noticeable dents on the upper bell crook along with some tiny pin dents in the same general area. There is one small pin dent in the underside of the mini crook that attaches to the main slide. All slides are present and in good working order. Overall, it is a very attractive cornet body longing to find some valves and get to playing again. There is no case, so item will be VERY carefully packed for shipping. Good luck!
