Elegant lighter from the first decades of the 20th century. Common object with motoring scene were very popular during those days. Now collectibles pieces, they remind us of a glorious era of the motor car history. This lighter has a mechanism similar to some German or French designs. Sadly the patent information was unable to identify. The decoration is very fine, depicting a period motor car along a road with detailed borders in front and back.Silver plated bronze piece showing scratches and plating wear. Fully hallmarked under the base. Measures 4.9cm x 3.3cm aprox. Opens and closes correctly.
