DETAILS: Vintage pair of canvasback duck decoys from the Chesapeake Bay, Susquehanna Flats School and in the style of R. Madison Mitchell of Havre de Grace, Maryland and Charlie Joiner of Betterton, Md. The drake and hen both have painted eyes, solid wood bodies and nail-attached heads. Each retains its ring and staple, but the ballast weights have been removed.
Wooden display stands shown in some photos are not included.
MARK/SIGNATURE: The drake is unmarked; the hen is branded with the name, ‘White’.
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition with some minor marks and dents. Please view photos for an assessment of condition.
MEASUREMENTS: Each decoy measures approx. 15.25 in. long, 6 in. wide, and 7.5 in. tall.
