Cast Iron Teddy Roosevelt and the Bear Mechanical Bank :
Tonight I am listing old cast iron mechanical banksand a few match holders, all at .This isan originalTeddy & theBearmechanical bank cir.1907 , made by J & E Stevens. There is no cracks or damage to any of the cast iron and itstill has itsoriginal paint.Just a wonderful example of an earlypolitical huntingtoy bank.To operate , place a coin onto the barrel ofTeddys rifle , pull it back and it locks into position.Pressthe lever between his feet and he fires the coin into the middle of the tree , ringing a bell and then the bear pops out.The bottom is embossed "PATD APLD FOR".It has the original patd.coin plug that you twist off to remove the coins. The size is aprox.7 " tall x10 " long x3 "wide. Please do not pay until after we send the invoice as insurance will be added to the total and will depend on the amount it sells for.International shipping is fine and will be actual with no mark up.Good luck should you decide to offer !
