- February 17, 1776 \"TWO DOLLARS\" Continental Colonial Currency Note.
- Very conservatively graded & certified by PASS-CO as VF35.
- Great looking note for the grade with no problems such as tears or repairs - it does have a centerfold. There is a very small nic in the lower right corner of the plastic holder itself, but is of no real significance.
- Bold serial number 90746 along with equally bold signatures of Nicholas Garrison and Joseph Watkins (Junior).
- This is a rather scarce note. Even though 130,437 were printed in 1776, few of those have survived the past 238 years in undamaged condition. Lower denomination notes such as this $2.00 note were extensively used in day-to-day commerce resulting in a much lower survival rate than the higher denomination notes.
- PMG has graded only 19 notes to date (many of which may be net graded and/or have negative comments pertaining to damage) with this example being somewhere in the middle. PMG has not graded any uncirculated examples so far.
- This is an authentic & historical item that was printed in 1776 during the Revolutionary War, and just a few months before the Declaration of Independence was ratified.
- Free insured USPS First Class Mail with Signature Confirmation (trackable) to anywhere in the United States.
