Wow!! My mom had 2 just like this in the 1950s  in our living room. Consequently it when I saw this it brought back memories and I had to have it! 

Purchased at an estate sale it has a red venetian blind type shade and the ceramic Black Panther is sitting on a base with two holes in the front (my mom used to decorate those with plastic green leaves)!!

The red shade seems to be in very good condition however there is some fading and patina at the top brackets and Finial. 

The base measures approximately 11 inches long and 5\" wide. With the shade the lamp stands 20\" tall to the top of the red shade. I do not see any cracks or chips or discoloration on the black porcelain lamp base.

The shade itself folds into itself for easy shipping and cleaning. The top brass braces have a lot of patina as does the harp holding the lamp shade up. Finial is also discolored from age, but with a lot of polishing and elbow grease they may come back. The red shade has faded a bit also but it also could just need a very good polishing. They are made of the same aluminum material that venetian blinds are made of.

The slap is a very nice piece of 1950s American history, and would look good in any room in your home.

I will pack this item with an over abundance of bubble wrap and packing peanuts, remove the lightbulb and fold up the lamp shade to save you on shipping. Lamp itself weighs approximately 7 pounds but I am estimating 5 to 6 pounds in bubble wrap and a heavy duty box when I figured your shipping cost. If the wait is lower I will advise you and it just your freight costs with an exact invoice.
