The wood is a red-brown eastern wood and the marble is beautifully veined with no breaks or repairs. This type of table is extremely decorative as an accent piece and have many functional decorative uses. Given its large top, a gracious plant or sculpture easily works for this table. This is a very nice and elegant table. The marble is in excellent condition. The wood is a little dirty and did not notice it at the time of taking the pics. I will clean it up and re post new pictures. The dust does show the fine carvings and detail. This table is very heavy and would make a great addition to any room.
