This is for a small sizecivil war era medical-surgical wallet. The black leather walletis approximately 4\" long x 2.25\" wide x 0.5\" thick. The inside flap is embossed with George Tiemann\'s 67 Chatham Street address, dating it to 1864 - 1866. The leather case is lined with purple velvet and silk.There is space for seven instruments and probes. The wallet is empty and does not include instruments. The wallet is in distressed condition and requires restoration.. The swivel latch and one internal flap are missing. The space for the accessory pocket has come undone.This is a terrific distressed leather case by an important maker at the time of the civil war that when restored will be a prized possession.
