Civil War era UR Sword Scabbard belt old leather brass hangers an buckle:
$195.00

It is my understanding by a kind gentlemen to tell me that they had fraternal organization or clubs before the civil war, so I do not know where to put this not complete set to date. It is a UR with what looks like a lily on blade shield and FCB on a brass piece on the scabbard. Looks to be two birds maybe eagles on each side of handle. I really hope the picture tell the story better than I can. I just get caught up in the history of the things my father had. The blade is engraved and yes the name on the blade is N. W. Bush. So my first thought here is this a descendent from the President George Bush family. Laugh if you like, but I just heard on tv that they found out that George Clooney is a descendent of Abraham Lincoln!! OK!! Back to this piece, It was made by the Pettibone co from what I see under the brass shield that kind of blocks it, but the blade is in really nice clean shape. The leather belt I found a mark on the big rounder piece of the end of the belt that says Henderson Ames Co Kalamazoo Mich. Again this outfit is ready to be put on and wore maybe for a civil war reenactment gathering or use on the field for a true real prop. Blade and handle are very tight. Thank you
