This is a Clark EC-8 floor sander. I have been using this machine to refinish the wood floors I install and other older floors that were refinished. I have a construction company here so this is what I do but not every day. I have owned this for around 15 years and probably have refinished 75,000 sq ft with it. I saved alot too by not having to rent a machine and use some kind of wierd sandpaper that\'s endless and only comes in only 3 different grits. I would carry at least 4 and sometimes 5 grits to perfect a customer\'s floors. One huge advantage of this machine is that you can cut your own sandpaper from a long roll and save alot of money. I would keep 36 grit thru 120 grit rolls and bring them to the job and cut then as I needed them.Last year the bearings went out and also developed alittle vibration so I ended up replacing the drum, shaft and the 2 bearings supporting the shaft. The belts are in good condition as well as the armature and brushes. The bag is new also. Could use 2 new rear wheel bearings which are cheap and easy to install. Also the belt guard has a crack that could easily be welded up but it works so I never bothered.I would be very careful buying one of these machines because a new drum will cost you $400 and there are more to replace than this so be careful !
I want to sell this and just want what I just put into it ,$450. and you could come here and pick it up or you can pay me to ship it which could go in 3 packages by FEDEX for something like $125. depending on your location.
