Here's an extremely rare Coca-Cola wooden shipping crate from the early 1900s. These were used to transport bottles by rail as well as steam ship. Very sturdy construction. This baby is heavy empty! So I can only imagine how heavy it would be loaded with Coca-Cola bottles! This crate holds 48 bottles.
Measurements: 26" wide by 19" deep by 10" tall. This has metal hinges and a metal latch on the lid that keeps it closed. Front reads: Coca-Cola (with the trademark in the "tail" of the fist "C" in Coca.) BOTTLING WORKS INC. HARRISBURG, PA. And it has a small round stamped logo that reads: United order of box makers and sawyers, UNION MADE. On one side, it reads: THIS BOX AND BOTTLES CANNOT BE SOLD UNDER PENALTY OF THE LAW and then it has the box manufacturers name (I think). As always, this is an sale so all sales are final with no refunds. So please feel free to ask any questions before offerding. I take great pride in carefully packing and shipping items and never charge any extra "handling" fees. Since this baby is huge and heavy, shipping fees will be higher than expected. Of course, if you live nearby (in Central Florida area) you can pick up in person.
And check out my other Coca-Cola items that I'll be listing today. Thanks and good luck offerding!
