This is a Confederate Manufactured Tea Pot Glass Insulator. This is a bubbly dark green glass Tea Pot Insulator. It was on the Telegraph line from Mobile, Alabama that ran across Mobile Bay to Spanish Fort, Alabama. It is believed these were manufactured in Mobile. This is a threadless Insulator which was installed on a tapered wood pin.
It has a piece of the spout missing and some of the skirt is missing as well. The 1999 Insulator Price Guide lists these at from $7,500.00 to $10,000.00 in value. They are extremely rare and this one is in good condition.
