Back end of VISE features Anvil style hammering areas including flat, polished 1 7/8\" by 2 1/2\" hammering area on top, and a 1 1/4\" by 1 1/4\" protruding \"tail\" for inside hammering work as shown. (See Photos) Front jaw moves independently of body & back end of course. Jaw hand screws open & closed via sliding HD Steel handle with mushroom head ends. Handle is affixed to HD screw & interior fittings on a heavy duty iron bed as shown, and works smoothly. Probably of 1970s/80s era manufacture (in Japan for Sears) this CRAFTSMAN 3 1/2 VISE is 100% functional still and is ready-to-go on your work bench just as is.(See Photos) NO unsightly corrosion or other \"problems\" in operation.
