Up for sale is a Used, Vintage ? Crates (Chattanooga TN) Handcrafted Leather Horse Riding Equestrian Saddle. This was an estate find & I\'m not an equestrian or expert or collector of these items, so I will describe it as best as I can. This came from the estate of someone who worked in horse training etc...and they worked with the Secretariat and had several framedmemorabiliarelated to that horse which I will also be selling. I don\'t know anything about thisspecific saddle (the history, who used it etc...). I don\'t know much about the terminology, so if you are looking for something, please point it out what I need to look for.This is a VERY heavy & solid saddle - it weighs about 26 pounds. I think the measurement is a 16 1/2\" (see photo with measuring tape), but I can\'t guarantee it.I don\'t see any indication of aparticular model name etc... The only marking I see on it is the emblem that says \"Crates, Chattanooga TN, Handcrafted Saddlery\".It includes various tack pieces (not sure what they include). I don\'t see any markings on the tack except for one piece that\'s marked \"Weaver\". On the saddle & the tack pieces, I don\'t see any breaks,rips, or major damage. It looks like it would be in usable condition, but I have no way to determine that. The leather seems to show some light wear from use & possibly age, such as faded coloring spots or discoloration (especially at creases/bends), scratches/scuffs, marks, residue etc... the metal (looks to be silver ?) embellishments show some tarnish.
