I\'m Hope Barrow, the artist behind Hope\'s Dream Babies. I\'ve been a reborn artist for 12 years and have enjoyed watching the art evolve into what it is today. My dolls have been sold to people all over the world, and are currently on display in the Minnesota Historical Society\'s \'\'Baby Boom\'\' Nursery Exhibit. I\'ve also had a doll featured in a Public Service commercial about SIDS, as well as one to be featured in an upcoming Independent Film.
This listing is for a CUSTOM MADE Gemma Sculpt, which means, you choose your specification (or opt for a duplicate of any of the sample photos!) and I make it for you! Doll completion takes about three weeks! Gemma is a beautiful NEW RELEASE sculpt by the talented Donna RuBert. She was just recently released and you can be one of the first to have her!
You can choose that Gemma comes dressed as a girl or a boy. She will be adorable either way! At 19\" long and weighing roughly 5-7lbs she will feel just like a real baby in your arms!
She will be hand painted and sealed with fine quality air dry paints, which are non-toxic, and once cured become permanent. I use several thinned layers to create that \'\'living skin\'\' appearance and life-like quality in all of my dolls. Painting details will include skin, brows, nails, hair, veining and blemishes. You can choose her skin tone and hair color and style. (Hair will be be painted not rooted) Her lashes will be hand rooted to match her hair color. Gemma has 3/4 arms and legs with a super sturdy, fully jointed DOE SUEDE body. She will be perfectly weighted with fine glass beads, plastic pellets, and soft polyfil. All of my babies have a very natural/floppy fell to them and curl right up in your arms.
She also will come with a hand painted removable belly/chest plate for posing and picture taking! This little baby is just gorgeous will make a wonderful addition to any collection!
