This is a beauty of the sea OOAK Mermaid Doll that I have just finished. I used a beautiful and sweet Stacie (Barbie\'s sister). She is very girly with her pink sparkly tail and all her other pink details.  With hours of adding more love you will find the end result is a treasured find. I have to thank God for a steady hand, my mom\'s encouragement and then my little girl for her inspiration. Every detail was done carefully by hand and she is even more lovely in person. Her clothes are stitched on & glued to keep in place (Cannot be removed). I have a huge love for dolls and anything mermaid and of course angels. I will not say she is perfect because pre-loved items usually are not without a flaw here and there. Also hand made items are just that handmade so their flaws are usually called character marks. Now, that I have added that, please know she is perfectly beautiful and will be a doll any collector can enjoy. She is now no longer a toy but completely went to the next level of being a adult collectible. She is for display only and all her details are permanent  (the tail is not removable).  This is the ninth of several mermaids that I will be listing in the near future so keep looking (You can be one of the first to have one). Thank you for visiting our lovely listing.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      *********************I call this one \"Izzy, the  little girl mermaid.  Izzy means Promise of a little note on the making of these treasures of the sea. I use a lot of recycled materials and even some vintage sequins on most. The tails are paper mach sculpted to shape then sealed. This makes the tail hard and sturdy and can not be posed.  I then hand glue every sequin on the tail to give the shiny scale look. I do use a glue gun on some details. Although I use sealants to preserve parts I still recommend only spot cleaning with a slight damp cloth (diaper wipes) or even yet a duster like you use on a computer. I use mostly pre-loved dolls so they may have a small flaw here or there but never anything that takes away from their beauty. So many dolls have such lovely faces that I usually leave that alone in less I have listed it as altered or touched up. My goal is to create a detailed OOAK art piece that can be enjoyed for years. **********Just to add one more thing for you big mermaid lovers out there. I have some really special unique things in the making right now so keep your eyes out in the next few weeks.
