THEDANBURY MINTTHUMBELINA- SPECIAL EDITION PORCELAIN COLLECTOR DOLL - RARE

This pristine doll is aDANBURYMINTMIBPORCELAIN THUMBELINA DOLLdressed in a blue jumper with a blue striped shirt. Second outfit is a pink and white striped dress with matching bloomer panties. The certificate of authenticity shows a serial number of E5947. She comes in the original box, with both the COA and the hangtag that was attached to her wrist.

She is a recreation of the original Thumbelina doll from the 1950\'s, authorized and authenticated by Mattel, Inc., who is the owner of the Thumbelina name and likeness. The head, lower arms and legs are made of fine porcelain, and her sweet features are meticulously painted by hand. The doll features a wind-up mechanism like the original, with the knob on her back. Her outfit is a recreation of a vintage outfit, and she comes with the additional vintage outfit as well. Even the box is a replica of the original presentation box.

I bought her in 2005, from another collector. She was sold to me as MIB and had been kept in the box since she got her. I have done the same, except to originally test her mechanism and carefully look her over. I did the same prior to listing her and she is still in perfect condition and working.

Also note that while I often see her listed at 16\", I personally feel she is more like 15\" long.

Please be aware that she is NOT meant to be played with but is a fine collectible and would be lovely as part of a collection. I bought several of the different Thumbelina recreations with the intention of displaying them. However, life happens and things don\'t work out the way we planned, so they have unfortunately never seen the light of day. It\'s time for someone else to get a chance to own them.
