Desk section 52\" wide.A great Danish Modern \"Desk in a Box\" or Cabinet Desk probably by Skeller,European mid-century production.This cabinet opens to reveal a fold out desk top that is very large and it truly exceptional.Lots of storage, lots of space, as well the fold out desk providing ample room for acomputer with plenty of additional counter/workspace to boot. This is perfect for anapartment or smaller study area or if you just don\'t want your work area and files on fulldisplay 24/7. When closed up the cabinet is a beautiful case storage piecewith Danish Modern lines and gorgeous oiled wood.The finish on the outside is oiled walnut or possibly a rosewood as it has dark streaks
throughout.What makes this model different from others is what has been done to it. Not only have we
finished it making the condition very good though minor imperfections still exist,
but we have remedied
a common fault with all Desk-In-A-Box models.Over time the weight of the swing out doors takes it\'s toll on main unit resulting in
the doors dropping low and hitting the legs of the unit. This is not from the hinges
coming loose but from the sides of the main unit being over time stretched off the base.To remedy this blocks were added underneath. This way when you close it as you usually
do with your feet, it snaps shut like it did when it was original and empty (devoid of weight).We also added adjustable feet so that you can get it precisely level once it is loaded so
the doors do not swing back and forth as often happens.This is a very good unit now and will satisfy.This has a larger table top than most on offer and quite a large drawer below the desk,
coupled with all the storage, this is an impressive unit that sits humbly until needed.The shipping cost covers blanket wrap to most Eastern States, West Coast buyers will
