Diedrich 40K Model Coffee Roaster (Currently called IR24):
$29000.00

Diedrich Model 40K (the newer models are called IR-24). In great condition as shown.110v. 24amps. 120,000 btu rating. Has Infrared Ceramic Heat Tiles. Operated by natural gas. Rated for 10-50lb batches but is likely capable of more. The condition is shown by the pictures listed online. I added into the price $500 for the crating. I would be happy to arrange for shipping at the purchasers expense. The buyer would be responsible for the unit once it leaves our location in Avon, NY. A comparable roaster now lists for over 65,000 by Diedrich. Currently, Diedrich is selling CR-25 units- manual models for over $60,000.

On the unit there is a slight bit of rust at the base from sitting directly on a cement floor. This is nothing that will affect the roasting or operation. Unit has been tested and is sold as-is.

I roast on an IR-12 which is a 25lb batch roaster and have been since 2009. I love the Diedrich quality as they are work-horses and a great quality of engineered machinery that is built to last. At this listing price it\'s a steal. This unit is a manual model without the complexity of automation. Basically set a timer for 12 minutes and heat the drum to a temperature of 415-440, and once the temperature hits that range and 12 minutes for heating your good to roast 16 minute batches every 16 minutes. You have the ability to control the gas input and the air flows by a simple movement of your hand on the gas knob and the air flow lever (through the cooling bin/ 50*50/ through the drum). The goal is 6 minutes into the roast and 280 degrees then turn air to 50/50. At 12 minutes you should be at 380 degrees then turn air to *through the drum. Once you hit your goal time and temp, discharge the beans by opening the lever on the front while changing airflow to *through cooling bin. Once the roasted coffee is out of the drum, start the next batch in while the roasted beans are cooling in the bin. The great thing with this roaster is the ability to do large batches.

Please note: Sold As-Is. No returns or refunds. Upon buyer coordinating pick up or shipping, once unit leaves my storage area buyer assumes all responsibility of unit.
