This Dixieland Gaited Saddle in a 16 or 17 inch seat is the Light Rider Style with the Butterfly skirt and features the Steele Equi-Fit Flexible Gaited horse tree in the LT fit, designed to fit the widest range of gaited horses. The butterfly skirting on this saddle has the skirting away behind the riders leg to give the closest contact feel and is excellent for leg cues. The gullet measurement on the tree is 7 inches and the bar spread is 12 1/2. The saddles also features the following:

The skirting on this saddle has a total length of 24 1/2 inches for the 16 inch saddle, so it works well on even the short backed horse. This saddle also features a deep pocket seat, which provides the maximum security in a western saddle. The rigging is inskirt, which allows a secure rigging, without so much bulk underneath the leg and can be rigged traditionally with a rear girth, or enduro balanced v-rigging.

This saddle is totally hand cut, hand tooled and hand finished with Skidmore\'s leather cream to ensure the softest new leather possible. We useUS Grade A #1 Leather from Wickett and Craig- the bestgrade of all American leather available.

The color on this saddle is mahogany and the leather is vat dyed. This means that the dye penetrates the leather so the color will not scratch off. The seat leather is smooth glove leather and the saddle seat has the Supracor Medical Grade padding which promotes circulation and is great for long rides.

This saddle is available in a 16 or 17 inch seat, weighs approximately 26 pounds. It will come with the full 2 year warranty on workmanship and 5 years on the tree. Please allow 10-14 days for shipment.
