Here’s an excellent
example of a rare Drake L75 1KW amplifier for Ham radio. It’s the little brother to the Drake L7 and
runs a single 3-500Z triode. It covers
160 – 15 meter, will work the WARC bands, and can be modified to work 10 meter.
I’ve used this amp for about 5 yrs and
it has worked flawlessly when driven into a well tuned antenna system. I have a copy of the user’s manual I will include
with the amp.
The “Rel Output”
function of the meter does not work but, the other meter functions do. I’ve been using an external watt meter so, I
haven’t bothered to repair it. It’s
currently running a lightly used 3-500ZG tube and I have a used Eimac spare 3-500Z
that will go to the new owner. This amp will run 500 to 600 watts when driven
with about 35 watts and will develop over 900 watts when pushed. Recommended
drive power is 50 to 60 watts.
This is a desk-top
amplifier but, it weighs 50 lbs. It will
run on 120 or 240 volt AC. It’s
currently wired for 240v.
Buyer is to pay all
shipping and handling costs. Tubes will
be shipped separately.

returns. Payment must be received immediately
after the sale.
