A great looking vintage E R Pfretzschner violin.
The violin was made by the E R Pfretzschner violin shop in West Germany in 1968. Then appears from the second label that the Roth Company in the US did final tuning to it in June 1969. The Pfretzschner label says \"E R Pfretzchner, Mittenwald OBB, 1968, Handmade Copy of Antonius Stradivarius, West Germany\". The Roth shop label calls this a Model 3011. This E R Pfretzschner violin was handmade and was made to copy an Antonius Stradivarius violin, one of the great masters.
I see no cracks, splits or repairs to the violin to report to you. Some minor scratching to the finish of the violin, but could be easily addressed. I have just wiped the violin down to sell it to you int the condition that I found it. The tuning pegs are matching and have Caspari etched into them. There is a brass screw at the end of each tuning peg. Carving on the scroll was very well done.
The violin is just shy of 22\" long, by about 8\" wide across the lower bout, and 13\" long by just the violin body. Nice looking bow came with this violin as well. The name Roth-Glasser appears on the bow. The Roth case is in pretty good condition, some finish loss and a slice in the finish by the right latch. Inside material that violin rests in is in good shape.
This musical instrument is not represented to be in playing condition. There most likely will need to be some refurbishing to make this instrument playable again.Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.
