Mid-Century/Black Cat Limited Edition Print is part of
my 2015 series of Eames Era Retro Black Cats
painted in mixed media, pen and ink, acrylic
and gouache, colored pens, and watercolors
in a Photorealistic Style.
My art is painted by hand and built
up in many layers on a ground of heavyweight
Canson Brand Acrylic Paper.
As a Photorealisitc Artist, I strive to
make the surface of my paintings as smooth as possible,
without any visible brushstrokes, in order to
make my painting closely resemble a photograph.
Each painting has a white border and is
sealed with acrylic sealant to protect the

I am Florida Black Cat Artist, Ann Darling. I worked as a drafting and technical illustrator
on the West Coast for many years,
while always working independently as an artist in
a variety of mixed media on various types of ground surfaces. I paint primarily in acrylic and mixed media with some
watercolor and pen and ink on a heavyweight ground suitable for framing.
All my original paintings are signed by me,
and sealed with an acrylic gloss varnish
to protect the colors for years to come.
All Darling Black Cat Art prints are Limited Editions, limited to
a very small number and signed, dated and numbered
by the Artist.Today I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida
where I have my own art studio.
That\'s where I am most of the time, designing and
painting new Retro and Pop Style Black Cats. My original paintings and prints

in North America and all over the world since I
began selling online over 15 years ago.
