Very nice condition .. very early one tube set using wood variometers and a wood variocoupler. It\'s housed in a nice quarter sawn oak cabinet. Likely homebrew but a really well done, early set. I didn\'t pull it down completely but did not see any mfg name on the varios .. they look like Duck\'s but there were several mfg\'s that built pretty much the same units. The tube socket looks to be a little newer replacement .. circa 1925 or so .. same with some of the binding posts. The well built, flame grained oak cabinet really makes this set stand out!

These early sets have pretty much disappeared from the market ... so this is a good chance to add an interesting radio to your collection. The tube is a good Sylvania globe UX-200 detector tube and is included. I have not powered this up but I have no doubt it works as the original owner said. This impressive set measures approx 24\" X 7\" X 7.5\" deep and well packed shipping weight will be 19 pounds from zip code 24012.
