Early Beautiful Honeysuckle CHEROKEE Native American Basket, Great old Color:
An incredible early Cherokee, American Indian basket, made of white oak and honeysuckle,in mint condition with great patina! Approximately 5" x 5". There is a marking on the bottom, in pencil. that reads "09/40" whichis probablythe date it was made, but I am not sure. The basket was purchased in North Carolina, but I do not know who made it or when it was made. I would howeversay that 1940 would be a good guess for when it was made. The basket has a great old color to it. I have not seenvery many older Cherokee Honeysuckle baskets for sale. Many of theones I have had an opportunity to buy did not have the older patina to them like this one.
I am starting this sale with a low starting price.
Don't miss out on the opportunity to purchase this beautiful older Cherokee Honeysuckle basket.
