Early Walnut Railroad Cuckoo Clock Parts - Case - Dial & Bone Numbers - Bellows:
$34.00

Being sold for parts.

Early Railroad Style Cuckoo clock case and other parts.

The front panel of the case and related trim parts shown in photo one are solid walnut.

The dial pan is also solid walnut with thick bone numbers held in place with very small nails. Please note that the number one on the dial is missing the bottom half. Note also that the outer rim of the dial and the ring just below the numbers has a slight red tint of stain that matches the red tint on the columns on the side of the front panel. The dial pan has no cracks and lays flat against the front panel. Note the slight scuff near the number seven.

The two rosettes are in very good condition.

The two finials are both damaged.

I placed all the broken pieces of fret work in the correct position they were originally in. The pieces you see in photo one are all that have survived of the front.

Photos three and four show the cuckoo door and leaves. The leaf to the right of the door has come loose from the front and is in two pieces.

Photos six and seven show both sides of the back and bottom panels. The back panel has a number three stamped on the back and still has the original gong. The back panel appears to be made of pine and the bottom panel is also pine with a walnut veneer on the bottom side.

Photos eight, nine and ten show the roof sections which are made of solid walnut.

Photos eleven and twelve show the side panels and the bellow pieces. The side panels are made of pine with walnut veneer. The veneer is in poor condition. The doors and hardware are in very good condition. The bellows are restorable. Note that the pieces that make up the bellow tops are angled on both of the long sides.

Measurement:

Dial is 5-1/8 inches in diameter and the bone numbers are about 3/4 of an inch tall.

Front panel is about 8 inches (not counting any fret work) wide by 13-1/4 inches tall from peak to bottom of legs

Back panel is 6-7/8 inches wide by 10-1/8 inches tall.

Bottom panel is about 7-1/2 inches wide and about 4-5/8 inches front to back.

Roof panels are 7 inches top to bottom and 6-3/8 inches front to back.

Side panels are about 4-9/16 inches front to back and about 9-1/2 inches tall.

Rosettes measure 1-7/16 inch square.

**

A lot of good pieces here to help someone with a restoration project. There are no old repairs nor have I cleaned any of the parts.
