Up for offer is a new and unused World War 2 era Eyepiece Assembly for Optical Instruments, PC20561 from the Eclipse-Pioneer Division of Bendix, manufactured in Teterboro, New Jersey. This is an optical system consisting of two or more lenses secured within a cylindrical sleeve. It is the component of an optical instrument nearest the eye of the observer when sighting. The distance between lenses is maintained by an optical element spacer. The item comes with the original yellow box with the Army Air Corps wings pictured on it, labeled \"Eclipse-Pioneer.\" The original paper packaging is here as well. When World War 2 started, the aircraft division was known as the Pioneer Division of the Bendix Corporation. In 1943 the name changed to the Eclipse-Pioneer Division of Bendix which was their Aviation Division. Please view the photos for more on the description.
