Edwardian White Net Lace Fleur de Lis Grape Leaf Embroidered Graduation Tea Dress
This antique Edwardian era white net lace, fleur de lis, grape leaf embroidered graduation tea dress dates from 1910. It is made of a sheer fine white cotton net fabric, with cluny bobbin lace inserts, raised padded satin stitch embroidery work done in a fleur de lis and grape leaf vine pattern design. This lovely lace long tea length dress has a rounded high neckline, short sleeves with pleated accents, a fitted waistband and hook & eye closures down the back. It is fully lined in a sheer white net fabric, with a layered petticoat underskirt and lace trim hemline. The dress measures 52 inches long, with 34 inch hips, a 24 inch waist, 34 inch bust and 14 inch back. It is in good clean wearable condition, with a few small holes in the net skirt, inside net lining and some fraying along the bottom hemline petticoat. There are a few loose and missing hook & eye closures. This is a wonderful piece of antique lace textile art which could be worn as a wedding gown or graduation, garden tea party dress!
