This is a carbon steel blade and attracts to a magnet, but I don\'t know anything more about t beyond that in terms of steel. I wouldn\'t use t for fighting. The tang is super short and the blade seems to take a bend instantly in the lower half, however it has a beautifully etched pattern in the upper half. Not sure quite what to make of it but I also expect it could be of definite use to someone for something! See photos for condition.
